Glenn Hutchinson, Co-Owner, Director of Operations

A twenty-five year veteran of the fitness industry. Mr. Hutchinson is a highly skilled operator, financial planner and fitness executive. Mr. Hutchinson is a former owner of a 10,000 square foot, high end, high touch fitness facility in the affluent Fairfield County. Mr. Hutchinson then successfully transitioned to multi unit, "value" based fitness operations and sales at a growing, successful chain of clubs, also in the Fairfield County area. 

Through this extensive experience in all facets of the fitness business Mr. Hutchinson has developed a strategy for fitness services with mass market appeal across all socioeconomic strata in all marketplaces. The strategy consists of capturing maximum numbers of memberships at a price point all can afford and then selling specific fitness services with the focus on the customer, results and affordability. There is a health crisis in this country and Mr. Hutchinson believes this creates a major business opportunity and a major opportunity to help people.

Mr. Hutchinson has a BS degree in Marketing from Babson College, consistently rated by US News & World reports as one of the top 10 business schools in the United States. Babson College is also known for producing successful entrepreneurs across all businesses throughout the United States and abroad.

Known as an innovator and problem solver, Mr. Hutchinson believes in a team approach to business, logical business organization by function and incentive based compensation that consistently rewards all within an operation towards common goals. Mr. Hutchinson motivates with positive reinforcement, training, mentoring and clear, directed communication.

Mr. Hutchinson is an avid sportsman; and former high level coach. Mr. Hutchinson is also a voracious learner. Among his interests are: technology, Eastern spiritual thought, history, human evolution and behavior, science, religion and non-fiction.

Bob Virgulak, Co-Owner, Director of Sales & Human Resources

Over the past 20 years, Bob Virgulak has built a formidable reputation in the personal wellness industry. His primary belief stems from the idea that success lies in developing a strong core and safety should always remain first priority. His commitment to this principle has enabled him to build a loyal and satisfied client base and an extensive referral network.

From the age of 14, Bob’s home away from home has been the gym. He began as a personal trainer in 1990 and 4 years later, became a senior trainer and top sales person at The Fitness Club of New Canaan. In 2000, Bob founded BVPT, LLC servicing Fairfield County, CT, and Westchester County, NY, personally training hundreds of elite clients, from celebrities to CEOs and their families. At the urging of his clients, Bob extended his services developing Fitness Clinics - an in-home, group style of training which two or more people train together to maximize results.

In 2002, Bob launched his in-home gym installation business, Home Gyms, LLC, and has since installed dozes of privately owned gyms around the tri-state area. In 2005, Bob once again branched out and founded Optimal Therapeutic Stretch (OTS Wellness), providing stretching, relaxation and stress relief programs in the high stress corporate environment.

Bob has trained high school, varsity-caliber and college-level athletes, mixed martial arts, competitive fighters, ADFPA power lifters and amateur body builders. Additionally, he has specialized in injury rehabilitation, and collaborated with established Fairfield County physical therapists and chiropractors on injury prevention.

Bob holds several certifications, including American Council on Exercise (ACE) in personal training and weight room, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and he adheres to the American College of Sports Medicine’s (ACSM) guidelines. Currently, he is developing an internal Master Training Program designed to teach Personal Trainers to excel in the industry. He was an active contributor in designing the “WIC 6” software program for FitLinxx, an industry-leading provider of wellness applications, wireless activity monitors and health tracking devices.

For the past 15 years, Bob has been recognized as one of Fairfield County’s elite personal trainers and the only trainer from Connecticut selected to be a contributor in Your Fitness and Nutrition Questions Answered: Featuring Interviews with the 15 Top Personal Trainers From Around The Country!, an in-depth exercise and wellness resource exclusively capturing testimony from experts at the highest level of their field around the country. In 2011, he was selected by Esquire magazine and ASICS, to design a top-notch in home gym for the “Ultimate Brooklyn Bachelor Pad”.

Josh Dellinger, General Manager

Josh is a graduate from SCSU with a degree in recreation and sports management with a concentration in exercise science. Josh has extensive management experience with a local chain of value based clubs where he was an Assistant Manager for many years in its Shelton location.

Josh is a local gentlemen; growing up in Derby where he still resides. When asked how Josh viewed fitness, he said “I simply want to help people understand that fitness is important and should be enjoyable, not a chore. Workouts should be a blast and your nutrition should compliment your desire to be fit. I look forward to helping each every member reach their fitness goals no matter how big!” He went on to say, “The General Manager’s position at Peak is a great opportunity to take all my experience and help its members and staff grow and fulfill their dreams”.

Josh enjoys golf, BMX riding, basketball and crossfit type exercise. Josh is also an avid exerciser himself and has trained clients. He is innovative in his management style and in his ability to provide fitness programming.

Most importantly Josh is just a good guy. He is hard working, values family and friends most and likes to have fun. Josh is just what the team at Peak needs to lead them in this new exciting adventure.

Cheri Rizio, Spa Manager

Cheri Rizio holds a Business Degree from Housatonic Community College and and graduated in 2003 from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. There she studied courses in Anatomy & Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Energy Work, Swedish, Sports, Trigger Point and Deep Tissue Massage. A Practicing Massage Therapist for over 10 years, with experience in the Day Spa, Wellness and Chiropractic, she has spent a majority of her career practicing medical massage therapy.  Cheri is Board Certified by the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Cheri is licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. Cheri, also, holds Professional Membership with the American Massage Therapist Association. She offers clients a wonderful combination of therapeutic and treatment massage, by using experience, intuition and education to provide clients with the most effective treatments.

Cheri’s mission as the Spa Manager at Peak Fitness is to bring the spa into a direction where we support individuals in achieving the Balance they need through personal wellness.  She has seen firsthand, how important it is to develop and nurture the Mind-Body Connection through fitness, massage therapy and proper skin care.

Stephanie Patterson, Front Desk Manager

Stephanie is a graduate from Post University with a degree in Business Marketing and Sales. Stephanie has worked in a number of different health clubs throughout Connecticut as a membership representative.

In addition to her career at Peak, Stephanie is a mother and is an expert on multi-tasking. Stephanie values the importance of family and spends her weekends with her husband and son. Stephanie enjoys cooking with WINE and sometimes she even puts some in the food!!
